CALL FOR PAPERS
Workshop on
Intelligent Analysis of Images and Videos (IAI&V 2009)
organized as a part of
13th International Conference on Knowledge-Based and Intelligent Information & Engineering Systems KES2009
28, 29 and 30 September 2009 Santiago, Chile
http://kes2009.kesinternational.org/

IAI&V 2009 will bring researchers, developers, practitioners, and users to present their latest research, results, and ideas in all areas of intelligent image processing methods. We hope that theory and successful applications presented at the IAI&V 2009 will be of interest to researchers and practitioners who want to know about both theoretical advances and latest applied developments in intelligent vision systems. As such, IAI&V 2009 will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas between theoreticians and practitioners to address the important issues. Papers related to theories, methodologies, and applications in science and technology in this theme are especially solicited.
Topics covering industrial issues/applications and academic research are included, but not limited to:
* Intelligent methods dedicated to images analysis
* Image Interpretation and analysis
* Images retrieval on the basis of visual content
* Visual information retrieval
* Interpretation of semantic information
* Images auto-annotation methods
* Medical images analysis
* Knowledge acquisition from images
* Attention-driven image interpretation
* 3D video and image content analysis
* Modeling shape and motion from ordinary images and video sequences
* Technologies of Vision
* Models for Computer Vision
* Biometric systems
* Evaluation of computer vision algorithms
Paper Submission and Publication
* Information concerning paper submission and publication can be found on the page: http://kes2009.kesinternational.org/submission.php
* Extended versions of selected papers will be published as Special Issues of a selected journal (it will be announced later)
* Papers will be refereed and accepted on the basis of their scientific merit and relevance to the special session
